Position Description:

EnerNOC is seeking a bright and innovative Research Software Engineer for our Research & Development Team. We use bleeding edge technologies to support a fast paced and rapidly growing company in terms of revenues, technology, employees, and market. Keeping up with the latest trends in software while delivering value is the key to our R&D Team.

Our Research Software Engineers are responsible for researching innovative ways to solve complex problems, typically using Java, C, and/or C++ technologies. Additionally, our Research Software Engineers are responsible for prototyping proposed solutions.

Required Qualifications/Skills/Education:

• 2-7 years of experience developing software.
• Experience with Java.
• Experience with RAD.
• B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• Must exhibit proficiency with bleeding edge technologies and the ability to develop software based upon undefined or vague requirements.
• Experienced in the production of thorough documentation.
• Must possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to prioritize developmental and operational tasks in a dynamic and challenging environment.
• Ability to work within changing deadlines/priorities.
• Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently.
• Knowledge of many new and cutting technologies.

Desired Qualifications/Skills/Education:

• Experience with any of the following: EJB, JSP, JavaScript., JBoss, Seam, Ant, Eclipse, Facelets, JSF, C, C++, VxWorks, portlets, AJAX, Cognos ReportNet, EJB 3, Oracle, Hibernate, and UNIX.
