Position Description:

EnerNOC has an immediate need for a Revenue & COGS Analyst, reporting to the Controller.  This high-visibility, high-impact position requires strong communication skills and is responsible for timely and accurate data flow between Sales, Operations and Finance for the purposes of ensuring accurate revenue and COGS calculations and payments.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Audit and ensure the accuracy of financial (Revenue & COGS) data in CRM system on a continuous basis
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of customer letters including earnings statements and checks
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of the financial books within strict deadlines
  • Reconciliation of certain G/L accounts to expected balances and reviewing reconciliations prepared by other staff members for accuracy
  • Determine that activities are in compliance with management instructions, applicable statements of policy, and in compliance with administrative practice.
  • Recommend improvements in efficiency, effectiveness and financial controls; review findings with division and department heads
  • Perform other duties as required

Required Qualifications/Skills/Education:

  • BS in Accounting/Finance, with 2-4 years experience in corporate finance
  • Must be detail-oriented with an ability to work independently, and a self-starter who will thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Must be a real "team player" with a "can-do" attitude with a solutions-oriented personality
  • Must be comfortable interacting with high-level executives and willing to sweat the small stuff when needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills required
  • Strong Excel skills a must; experience using Salesforce and Epicor or comparable general ledger system a plus

  • Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
